Tennis professional Casper Ruud is from Norway. He reached his greatest singles ranking of No. 5 on June 13, 2022, making him the highest-ranked tennis player from Norway in history. Eight of his nine ATP Tour singles victories—which he has earned—have come on clay surfaces. In the boys’ singles category of the 2015 French Open, he fell to Corentin Denolly in the third round.

His greatest singles results in the corresponding Junior Grand Slam events were in the third round of the 2015 US Open boys’ singles and the second round of the 2015 Wimbledon boys’ singles. He focused his sights on competing in Futures competitions and beginning to move up the ATP rankings for the 2016 season.

He competed in his first Futures final in February 2016 and defeated Carlos Taberner in Paguera, Spain. Due to an injury, he was unable to compete in the 2022 Australian Open. Shortly after his recuperation, he competed in the Argentina Open, where he won his seventh ATP singles championship by defeating Diego Schwartzman in the championship match.

He won his first major title at the Wimbledon Championships by defeating Albert Ramos-Vinolas. By defeating Kyle Edmund, Tim van Rijthoven, and Tommy Paul, he advanced to the fourth round. In order to go to his second major semifinal, he then defeated lucky loser Corentin Moutet and 13th seed Matteo Berrettini, the latter in straight sets. In his semifinal game, he’ll compete against Karen Khachanov, the 27th seed.
