Clarke Schmidt is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the New York Yankees. Clarke Schmidt was born on February 20, 1996, and is 25 years old. D. Clarke Clate Schmidt, his brother, was a Clemson baseball player from 2013 to 2016. In 2015, Clate was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.



The Detroit Tigers selected him in the 20th round of the 2016 MLB Draft, and he now plays for the Single-A West Michigan Whitecaps. Schmidt went 2–2 with a 4.81 earned run average (ERA) with 55 strikeouts in 18 games and 10 starts as a freshman. As a sophomore, he became South Carolina’s ace pitcher.
