The Oldham Theatre Workshop founder David Johnson is dead. David who is Affectionately described as a legend died on Wednesday leaving a greater section of the Manchester acting community heartbroken.
David Johnson created the Oldham Teathre when he was as young as just 15years old in 1968 and religiously made sure to develop this theatre. Soon this theatre became the biggest in Europe aiding in the development of fine award-winning actors in the Manchester region especially. In 2019, he was awarded the British Empire Medal.
David’s Oldham Theatre Workshop held drama classes that helped develop the careers of many current superstars, including Anna Friel, Suranne Jones, and the late Anne Kirkbride.
Stars like Anthony Cotton, Sacha Dhawan, and Kelvin Fletcher have expressed their shock about this great man’s death.
Tributes to Mr. David Johnson
Since his time of death, heartbreaking tributes have been pouring in from renowned award-winning actors who trained under him and who were made the stars that they are thanks to his Oldham Theatre Workshop.
Stars of both television and theatre took to various social media handles especially Twitter to express their condolences.

Cause of Death.
Although it has been communicated that the coronations Street Star David Johnson has died, Cause of Death is yet to be known as at 5th May 2022.
