Daniel Sorensen (born March 5, 1990) is a Kansas City Chiefs safety. He went to Brigham Young Uni.

After going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Chiefs signed Sorensen to a two-year, $930,000 deal on May 11, 2014. After being undrafted, Sorensen received calls and offers from numerous organizations, but accepted the Chiefs’ offer because head coach Andy Reid personally called him.

After Eric Berry’s heel injury, he started three preseason games at strong safety. On August 28, 2014, Sorensen had five combined tackles and a pass deflection in a 34–14 preseason loss to the Green Bay Packers.

A pass deflection and nine tackles (seven solos) in four preseason games. To start the season, Andy Reid made Sorensen the backup strong safety to Eric Berry.
