Demarcus Stanley Robinson was born on September 21, 1994, and currently plays wide receiver for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs. He attended the University of Florida and played college football.
From 2013 to 2015, Robinson attended the University of Florida. As a freshman in 2013, he appeared in just seven games and finished with five receptions for 23 yards. Robinson served two suspensions during his freshman season after testing positive for marijuana on various occasions. His breakout season came in 2014 when he started 11 of 12 games.
He was suspended for the team’s season opener versus Idaho, which was ultimately canceled due to inclement weather. Robinson hauled in 53 passes for 810 yards and a touchdown. As a junior in 2015, he led the Gators with 48 receptions while also accumulating 522 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 13 games and nine starts.
On November 28, 2015, head coach Jim McElwain banned Robinson for 75 minutes prior to Florida State’s 27–2 defeat. The ban was imposed as a result of a breach of NCAA and team rules. According to reports, the infraction occurred as a result of Robinson’s meeting with a marketing representative, and this was his fourth suspension from Florida in three years.
