Rich Scangarello (born April 15, 1972) is an American football coach who is now the quarterback’s coach for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL).

He previously served as a senior offensive assistant with the Philadelphia Eagles.  He has also served as an offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos, as well as an assistant coach for the Oakland Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, and San Francisco 49ers.

No. Throughout his career, Rich Scangarello has been a coaching staff. There is no history of him ever playing in NFL.

Scangarello worked as a graduate assistant at UC Davis from 1998 to 1999. In 2000, he also worked as a graduate assistant at Idaho. Scangarello was the offensive coordinator at Carleton in 2001.

Scangarello returned to UC Davis as the quarterback’s coach from 2002 to 2003. He returned to UC Davis as the wide receivers coach in 2004. In 2008, Scangarello was elevated to co-offensive coordinator.

Rich Scangarello Career In NFL

The Oakland Raiders signed Scangarello as an offensive quality control coach in 2009.

Millsaps hired Scangarello as an associate head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterbacks coach in 2010.

Northern Arizona signed Scangarello as their offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2012.

Scangarello was appointed as an offensive quality control coach by the Atlanta Falcons in 2015.

Wagner signed Scangarello as their offensive coordinator in 2016.

The San Francisco 49ers signed Scangarello as their quarterbacks’ coach in 2017.

The Denver Broncos signed Scangarello as their offensive coordinator on January 16, 2019. After Denver finished lowest in key offensive statistics, head coach Vic Fangio fired Scangarello on January 12, 2020.

Scangarello was appointed as a senior offensive assistant by the Philadelphia Eagles on February 5, 2020.

In 2021, Scangarello was hired as the quarterbacks’ coach by the San Francisco 49ers.
