Did Tyreek Hill Want to be Traded?

Tyreek Hill’s stint with the Kansas City Chiefs came to an end when contract extension talks broke down with his camp.

Tyreek Hill was already under contract with the Chiefs for a three years contract but it was the City’s decision to trade the wide receiver

According to the Chiefs’ wage cap, Hill was due to be paid approximately $21.9 million next season after signing a three-year agreement worth $54 million in September of 2019.

Did the Chiefs Get Rid of Tyreek Hill?

The Chiefs did not get rid of Tyreek Hill but instead went in for a business deal. The chiefs traded Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks a first-round pick (No. 29), a second-round pick (No. 50), and a fourth-round pick in 2022, as well as fourth- and sixth-round picks in 2023.

Hill’s replacement is already in the works in Kansas City, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, who reports that Packers free-agent wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling is on his way to the Chiefs for a workout on Wednesday.

Pelissero noted that while no deal is close, the speedster would be an obvious choice to fill the hole.

This offseason, the Chiefs have already added former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster to their roster, signing him to a one-year deal worth up to $10.75 million earlier this week.
