He attended the University of Iowa Hawkeyes and was taken in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He is a three-time Pro Bowler and was named to the 2019 NFL First Team All-Pro.
Kittle was born in Madison, Wisconsin, but grew up in Iowa. He attended Iowa City West High School, Cedar Falls High School, and Norman High School, all in Iowa City, Iowa. He made a college football commitment to the University of Iowa. Bruce Kittle, his father, is a former college football coach who also played at Iowa.
