Ji-man Choi (born May 19, 1991) is a professional baseball player from South Korea who currently plays for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Choi can play designated hitter, first baseman, and outfield, among other positions. In 2016, he was a member of the Los Angeles Angels, followed by the New York Yankees in 2017 and the Milwaukee Brewers in 2018.

Choi also played baseball for Korea’s U12 and U18 national teams.

Choi was moved to the Tampa Bay Rays for infielder Brad Miller and monetary considerations only one day after hitting his grand slam with the Brewers. He was optioned to AAA Durham right away.

Choi was promoted to the major leagues by the Rays on July 11, 2018. He blasted a walk-off two-run homer against Brad Hand of the Cleveland Indians on September 10. Choi hit.269 with 8 home runs and 27 RBIs in 49 games with the Rays.

Choi broke into the main leagues for the first time in his career in 2019. With the Rays, his defense and power against right-handed pitching gave him regular playing time.

In 127 games, he batted.261 with 19 home runs and 63 RBI. Choi hit a walk-off home run in the 12th inning against the Yankees on September 24.

He got three hits in 23 at-bats in the postseason, including a single home run. In the Division Series, the Rays were beaten by the Astros of Houston. Choi established himself as a fan favorite in his first full season with the Rays because of his on-field performance and demeanor.
