Murray was selected by the Arizona Cardinals as the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. In addition, he was taken ninth overall by the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB) in the 2018 draft, making him the first player to be drafted in the first round of both sports in the same year in history.
