Venezuelan catcher who won the World Series MVP award in 2015 after leading the Kansas City Royals to a five-game triumph over the New York Mets. In 2013, he won his first Gold Glove Award and was named to his first All-Star Game. In 2014, he also assisted the Royals in winning the American League Pennant.



Prior to Fame, He was born in the Venezuelan city of Valencia and debuted with the Royals in 2011. At the 2013 World Baseball Classic, he represented Venezuela. Yilda Diaz is his mother, with whom he has a close bond. Salvador Jr. and Johan are his sons. In Kansas City, he teamed up with fellow All-Star Lorenzo Cain.

Salvador Perez is a Major League Baseball (MLB) position catcher for the Kansas City Royals. Perez, 30, is coming off an American League Comeback Player of the Year, Louisville Silver Slugger Award winner, first-team All-MLB selection, and Les Milgram Royal Player of the Year season in 2020.




On April 21, he hit a walk-off single to upset the Tampa Bay Rays 9-8 in the bottom of the ninth inning. He equalled Jorge Soler for the Royals team record of 48 home runs in a season on September 29. His 48 home runs equalled him for the most in MLB with Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Salvador Perez and his wife, Marie, welcomed their first child, a daughter in 2019. They shared the news along with a video of the gender reveals on Instagram.



Perez unwrapped the enormous box, exclaimed with joy, and raced to hug his wife in the one-minute video. Pink balloons floated out of the box a short time later.
