The Prime Minister is deemed the official overseer and the leader of the Queen’s government ultimately responsible for the policy decisions and implementation of projects and initiatives of the government. The British government system has been designed in such a way that it is the central government of the United Kingdom. The government is as well dependent on the parliament like any other country’s government settlement and setting. It will interest you to know that authority is sovereign with the executive even though it takes advice from the Privy Council. Because many of its offices are located there, the government is also referred to as “Westminster” or “Whitehall.”
