Eddie Butler’s Biography

Edward Thomas Butler was a Welsh journalist, sports pundit, and rugby player. He earned 16 Wales caps and scored two tries between 1980 and 1984. Butler backed Welsh independence.



He captained Pontypool RFC from 1982 until 1985. Butler writes a weekly piece for The Observer Sport and commentated on BBC Welsh rugby.
