Édouard Roger-Vasselin is a French professional tennis player who focuses largely on doubles competition.
He finished in second place at the Wimbledon Championships in both 2016 and 2019, partnered with Julien Benneteau and Nicolas Mahut respectively.
His first Grand Slam victory came in 2014 at the French Open, where he and Julien Benneteau won the men’s doubles competition.
In November of 2014, Roger-Vasselin attained his career-high doubles ranking of world No. 6. He has won 22 doubles titles on the ATP Tour, including the Cincinnati Masters in 2015 with his partner Daniel Nestor.
In the singles competition, he reached his peak position of world No. 35 in February of 2014, and he came in second place at the Delray Beach Open in 2013 and the Chennai Open in 2014.
In singles competition at Grand Slam tournaments, Roger-greatest Vasselin’s result came when he advanced to the third round of the French Open, Wimbledon Championships, and the Australian Open in 2007, and 2014, respectively.
He is the son of Christophe Roger-Vasselin, who reached the semifinals of the 1983 French Open.
Following his victory over Radek tpánek in the second round of the French Open in five sets (3–6, 6–1, 0–6, 6–4, 6–4), he received a wildcard for the tournament and advanced to the third round.
As a result of his performance at Wimbledon, where he advanced to the third round and won a match against the 24th seed Juan Ignacio Chela in straight sets, he broke into the top 100 singles players for the first time.
On July 16, 2007, he achieved the highest ranking of his career, which was 82.
