Germain Ifedi is an American football offensive tackle for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas A&M and was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Ifedi, who was born and raised in Houston, received his secondary education at Westside High School, where he competed in football, basketball, and track and field.
The Associated Press voted him to the All-State second team after his performance. As a senior, he had 96 pancakes and blocked a kick in addition to those stats.
The Westside Wolves finished the season with a record of 10–4, but they were defeated by Dekaney in the UIL 5A Division II Regional Final. Trey Williams served as the team’s running back.
Ifedi was ranked as the No. 15 offensive guard prospect in his class and received a rating of four stars from the recruiting website Scout.com. Additionally, ESPN rated him as a four-star prospect.
