Graham Thorpe’s full name is Graham Paul Thorpe. He is a former cricketer who played in international games for England and Surrey domestically. He used to bat as a left-handed player and bowl right-arm medium.

He was born on August 1, 1969, in Farnham in the United Kingdom. He has two brothers who are also into sports. Graham started his professional career in 1988 for Surrey and played internationally for England for the first time in 1993. During his debut test match against Australia at Trent Bridge, he scored a century in the second innings. Graham was named one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1998.

In November 2000 during a game against Pakistan, Graham hit only one four in his hundred as well as seven threes, 12 twos and 51 singles. In 2002, during his highest Test score, he hit 200 not out off 231 balls when they played against New Zealand at Christchurch.

During the 2002 cricket season, Graham began having marital issues which were somehow leaked into the public domain. This greatly affected him psychologically and his focus on his career. Graham decided to retire from Test cricket in July 2005.

Before he finally retired, he played another two months with Surrey before following up his test retirement. He also served New South Wales as a batting coach for two seasons.
