List of 5 of the Greatest Philadelphia Eagles All-Time Rosters In History

1. Brian Dawkins – FS

Brian Dawkins was the epitome of a true eagle in every sense of the word. A ferocious and passionate defender, he personified everything Philly fans love about the city. Eagles had a great presence all over field because of his ability to play zone, man-to-man or blitz as an end. In his 183 career games, he is the franchise leader in appearances, and he is also one of the few players in franchise history with at least 30 forced fumbles and twenty interceptions.

2. Reggie White – DE

11 sacks in a single season is a feat few players achieve in the NFL. That was Reggie White’s poorest season as the Eagles’ defensive anchor. He holds the team record for sacks (124.0), which means he had more sacks than games played (121).

3. Chuck Bednarik – LB/C

Even though he was one of the toughest centers in the NFL’s history, his hard-hitting skills as a linebacker set him apart as one of the game’s all-time greats. Incredibly, he had a Hall of Fame-worthy career in both positions.

4. Al Wistert – OT

During the team’s first two NFL Championship seasons, he was the team’s heart, soul, and captain. He was nominated to the All-Pro team in all but one of his nine seasons in the NFL – all of which he spent with the Philadelphia Eagles – and was a key reason why the team had such a powerful rushing attack during that time.

5. Harold Carmichael – WR

He is the greatest wide receiver in the history of the Philadelphia Eagles, and he is also one of the best players ever to play the position.  To this day, he still holds the all-time records for receiving yards and touchdowns, and his massive 6’8″ stature allowed him to play a game of cat and mouse with opposing corners.
