Late Saturday night in Philadelphia, a gunman opened fire on a large crowd, killing three people including Gregory “Japan” Jackson, and injuring 11 others. In Philadelphia, the shooting occurred.



Many gunshots were heard shortly before midnight in the busy downtown area of South Street, and “several gunmen” were said to be present. Multiple gunshots were heard, according to authorities.

A police officer responded to the shooting by firing one shot in the direction of a potential gunman, according to a statement given to NBC Philadelphia by Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace. One of the suspects allegedly put down their gun and fled the scene, according to the investigator.



Due to being caught in the crossfire, 14 people were injured. Three people died in the hospital as a result of gunshot wounds, two men and one woman.

Kristopher Minners, 22, Alexis Quinn, 27, and Gregory “Japan” Jackson, 34, were the three people killed in the incident, according to The Philadelphia Inquire.
