Hagen Danner is an American professional baseball player who serves as a pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays organization. He was born September 30, 1998, in Huntington Beach, California in the United States of America.



Danner’s amateur career started in 2011 when he played for the Ocean View Little League, a baseball team in his hometown at Huntington Beach, California. He then had his high school career at Huntington Beach High School, where he played as both a catcher and a pitcher.

During his senior season, he was privileged to be named California’s high school player of the year by the Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Register. He then went on to play college baseball for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Bruins.



In 2017, he was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays team during the second round of the 61st overall draft. The Jays picked him to be their catcher although he was considered a top prospect as both pitcher and catcher. In June that year, he was signed into the Jays organisation for a $1.5 million bonus and he was made to play for the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays.

In 2018, he played for the Bluefield Blue Jays where he hit .279 with two home runs and 19 RBIs in 32 games and 2019, he played for the Lansing Lugnuts, recording a .170 with 12 home runs and 33 RBIs over eighty games.
