The Mariners have never even been crowned champions of the American League Pennant yet.

The Seattle Mariners began to play in the Major League Baseball just one year after the Seattle Seahawks began to play in the National Football League. The Seahawks have advanced to three Super Bowls, with one of their victories.

The Mariners have never even been crowned champions of the American League. They have not appeared in the postseason since 2001, and they have only appeared in the postseason four times since the team’s establishment.

When an American League (AL) club wins the pennant at the end of the season, it signifies that they are the league winner and will face the National League in the   World Series. After the 1968 season, the AL Championship Series was instituted to select the winner of the pennant, which was awarded to the club with the greatest win-loss record.

There has been a modern World Series every year since 1903, except for 1994, when a players’ strike forced the postseason to be canceled. The Houston Astros currently possess the American League pennant after winning it on October 22, 2021.

Two divisions of the American League were formed and a five-game ALCS was held to determine the pennant champion, who won the William Harridge Trophy as a result of their success.
