Armstead agreed to terms with the San Francisco 49ers on a 5-year, $85,000,000 contract that included a $3,500,000 signing bonus, $40,000,000 in guaranteed money, and an average annual salary of $17,000,000.

Armstead will earn a basic salary of $14,150,000 in 2022, a roster bonus of $750,000, and a workout bonus of $100,000, while carrying a $20,000,000 cap hit and a $16,500,000 dead cap value.

Arik Armstead is a defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League.  Having played college football at Oregon, he was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the NFL Draft in 2015.

Armstead attended Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove, California, where he received his diploma. He recorded 126 tackles and 7.5 sacks during his career. Recruiting website rated Armstead as a four-star prospect and the sixth-best defensive end in his class.

He had previously committed to play college football for the University of Southern California, but he changed his mind and now plays for the University of Oregon. In high school, he was also a member of the basketball team.

Armstead participated in all 13 games as a true freshman in 2012, including one start. He ended the 2012 season with 26 tackles and a half-sack. During the spring he joined the Ducks basketball team, where he redshirted his first year. Armstead participated in 13 games as a sophomore in 2013, tallying 15 tackles and one sack.
