Hudson Potts Current Team: Where is Hudson Potts Now?

Where is Hudson Potts Now?

Hudson Potts is with the Boston Red Sox minor-league.

Despite the fact that he did not play in the minor leagues in 2020 owing to the cancellation of the minor league season, Potts was invited to join the Red Sox fall, instructional league.

He found himself in charge of a non-contending squad that was a clear seller at the deadline of the abbreviated 2020 season after his first significant duty was to trade away the best player the team had created in decades.

Potts was added to the 40-man roster on November 20, 2020.

Potts, who struggled at Double-A in 2019 (93 wRC+, 28.6% strikeout rate), could have benefited from a typical minor-league season to improve his approach against higher-level pitchers.

He had an oblique injury during spring training in 2021. He spent the first half of the minor-league season on the disabled list until June when he was recalled and assigned to the Double-A Portland Sea Dogs, where he batted.

In 78 games, he hit 217 batters with 11 home runs and 47 RBIs.

Even yet, he just turned 23, so if he were sent back to Double-A at the start of the 2021 season, he wouldn’t be old enough. He still has excellent right-handed pop and can play third base.
