Is Arden key a free agent?

Arden key is no longer a free agent. Arden Key signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers on April 23, 2021.

Arden Key Jr. is a defensive end in American football for the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers. He was born on May 3, 1996. He played college football at LSU and was taken in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders.

Key attended Union City, Georgia’s Hapeville Charter Career Academy. As a senior, he had 15.5 sacks, eight as a junior, and 12 as a sophomore. He committed to play college football at Louisiana State University (LSU).

ESPN listed Key as a four-star recruit and the class of 2015’s No. 6 defensive end prospect.

Key appeared in 12 games and started the final nine as a true freshman at LSU in 2015. He finished with 41 tackles and five sacks and was selected a first-team All-American as a freshman. In 2016, as a sophomore, he set a single-season school record with 12 sacks. He was named to the Associated Press’s first-team All-Southeastern Conference team.

Arden key was assessed a 15-yard personal foul for grabbing the facemask of Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick on a play in which the Dolphins gained 34 yards; the penalty and catch put Miami in field goal range, which they converted from 44 yards for a 26-25 victory that eliminated the Raiders from playoff contention. On April 15, 2021, Key was waived.
