while he was ranked No. 123 in doubles competition. He won the singles event at four different ATP Tour tournaments, including the Masters 1000 at the 2021 Indian Wells Masters, and the doubles event once.

Since the 18th of October 2021, Norrie has held the position of No. 1 in the men’s singles competition in the United Kingdom.

Cameron Norrie was born on August 23, 1995, in the city of Johannesburg, in the country of South Africa. Both of his parents are experts in the field of microbiology and are from the United Kingdom.

His father, David, was born in Glasgow, Scotland, while his mother, Helen, was born in Cardiff, Wales. After a break-in at their house, Cameron Norrie and his family relocated away from Johannesburg when he was just three years old.

They relocated to Auckland in New Zealand, and not long after that, Cameron began playing tennis at his neighbourhood gym.



Prior to that, he had played squash with his mother on the driveway of their home. To this day, Norrie’s parents are still residents in New Zealand.
