Tony Lee Dow, an American actor, is well recognized. Along with making sculptures, he also produces and directs films. He became well-known as a result of his role in the prime-time television sitcom Leave It to Beaver, which ran from 1957 to 1963. On April 13, 1945, he was born in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.

Prior to being cast as Wally Cleaver on Leave It to Beaver, Dow had little to no acting experience, which helped him establish his career. He appeared on Leave It to Beaver for six years, from 1959 to 1963, when the program first aired. In the years that followed, he made numerous cameos on various television shows, including My Three Sons, Dr. Kildare, The Greatest Show on Earth, Never Too Young, and five episodes of Mr. Novak in three different characters.

In October 2021, Dow was identified as having pneumonia and was subsequently hospitalized. In May 2022, a cancer diagnosis was made for him. According to his family, Dow was getting hospice care at his Topanga, California, home during his “final hours” when false news of his death on July 26, 2022, first appeared.
