Meet Daniel Finkelstein whose real name is Daniel William Finkelstein. Finkelstein is known as a British journalist and a politician who was born on August 30, 1962 in the London United Kingdom. Finkelstein is a former executive director of the news broadcast organization The Times. He still is known to remain as a weekly political columnist. Finkelstein is also known to be a former Chairman of Policy Exchange who later handed over to one David Frum in the year 2014.



When we dig a bit deep into his background, he is regarded as a Jewish born to parents Mirjam Finkelstein and Father Ludwik Finkelstein. He attended the University College School, the London School of Economics, and City University London respectively.

Daniel Finkelstein into politics, began his political career where between 1981 and 1990 he was a member of the Social Democratic Party (UK). He became the chairman on the defection of his predecessor Keith Toussaint to the Conservative Party.



As a journalist, between the years 1990 and 1992, Finkelstein was the editor of Connexion, thus Britain’s first internet and data communications newspaper. He, later on, joined the Times in the year August 2001. Over there he became part of the writing team as well as been a comment editor from March 2004 to June 2008.
