Laura Robson is a former British tennis player for Britain. She was born on January 21, 1994, in Melbourne Australia. Her family had migrated to Singapore when the former tennis player was just eighteen months old.
They later came back to Britain when she turned six. Laura’s passion for tennis started at an early age .She debuted on the ITF Junior circuit in 2007 and won the Junior Wimbledon Championships in 2008 at the age of 14.
As a junior, Robson had reached the finals of the girls’ singles tournament at the Australian Open twice in 2009 and 2010. In singles tennis, Robson is reported to be the first British woman since Samantha Smith to reach the fourth round of the Ground Slam Tournament and the 2013 Wimbledon Championships.
In 2012, Robson won a silver medal in the mixed double competition at the 2012 London Olympics. Laura has announced that she has retired from playing tennis following her injuries. She had injured her wrist in 2014 and had surgery the following year.
