Jacob Stallings Children: Meet Emmitt and Micah

Jacob Stallings is an American professional baseball catcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2016.

In 2015, Stallings played 74 games for Altoona, during which time he posted a batting line of.275/.313/.370 with three home runs and 32 RBIs. The Indianapolis Indians were his team when the 2016 campaign got underway.

On June 19, 2016, Stallings received his first promotion to the major leagues after being called up. On June 21, while playing against the San Francisco Giants, Stallings recorded his first hit in the major leagues. It was a double.



On July 5, he was designated for assignment, and after he went through the waiver process, he was outrighted to return to Indianapolis. His batting average for Indianapolis was.214 with six home runs and 28 runs batted in over the course of 80 games.

On September 13, the Pirates brought Stallings back into active duty for a second time. On September 23, he hit a game-winning RBI single that helped the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Washington Nationals by a score of 6-5. On November 2, 2016, he was granted full ownership of the company.
