Jacob Steven Brentz is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball. He was drafted in the 11th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft by the Toronto Blue Jays.

Born on September 14, 1994 (age 27 years), in Ballwin, Missouri, in the United States of America Jake is said to have attended high school at the  Parkway South High School.

The Toronto Blue Jays selected him in the 11th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft.

Brentz joined the Blue Jays on July 12, 2013. Brentz debuted with the Gulf Coast Blue Jays in his first professional season.
