Since 2005, Jeremy Hunt has served as the Member of Parliament for South West Surrey.

In the years between 2010 and 2019, as a Conservative Party member, he served as Culture Secretary, Health Secretary, and Foreign Secretary.

He attended Magdalen College, Oxford, and majored in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. He was born in Kennington. There he led the conservative student group at Oxford as its president (a student community).



In 2005, he became the first member of his party to be elected to the House of Commons, and he quickly rose through the ranks to become a member of the Shadow Cabinet.

He was the Culture Secretary and Olympic Minister in the Cameron government from 2010 to 2012.

He was appointed Secretary of State for Health in 2012 and later for Social Care and remained in those roles until 2018.

During his tenure, he imposed a controversial new contract for medical interns. He joined Theresa May’s cabinet as Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs in 2018.

Jeremy Hunt and his wife Lucia have three children; Eleanor Hunt, Anna Hunt, and Jack Hunt First came Jack in 2010, then Anna in 2012, and finally Eleanor in 2014.

Hunt expressed concern for the future of his own children in terms of discrimination if immigration was not reined in. This was in 2014.

If more isn’t done to reduce immigration to the UK, he reasoned, hostility toward foreigners would grow.

When it comes to Jeremy and his loved ones, they prefer to stay out of the limelight.
