Jordan Sheffield is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball at Vanderbilt University.
He was successful in striking out 109 batters but also walked 57. After that, he suffered a setback due to an injury in 2018, which limited him to a total of 17 games, three of which were played as part of a rehabilitation assignment in the Arizona League.
In 14 games and 34 innings played for Rancho Cucamonga, he had a record of 1-3 and a 6.88 earned run average. During that span of time, he allowed 39 hits, walked 20 batters, and struck out 40 opposing hitters.
After the season, he participated in the Arizona Fall League and recorded his best stats to date, including a career-high earned run average of 1.93 in 10 games, all of which were played in relief.

It should be noted that he is the brother of Justus Sheffield, who debuted in the big leagues in 2018. Tony Sheffield, a relative, played the game professionally from 1992 to 1996.
