Kane Tanaka was a Japanese supercentenarian who is known to have passed away after living for over 119 years, 107 days.



She was known to be the second person to have lived very long on earth after the death of Chiyo Miyako who also passed away on 22 July 2018.

According to reports, Kane Tanaka is the first oldest person in Japan and is also the second oldest person in the whole world.



Kane was born on January 2, 1903, in Wajiro and passed away on April 19, 2022. She was survived by five children which she gave birth to after she got married with her husband by the name of  Hideo Tanaka.

Kane was married to her husband known as  Hideo Tanaka in the year 1922 until 1993 when her husband passed away living her to braise their children.

Kane Tanaka is the daughter of her parents by the name of Kumayoshi and Kuma Ota. She is the third daughter of her parent and their seventh child.

She was said to have died just nine days after she was verified as the second oldest verified person in the world. Tananka died in Fukuoka on 19 April 2022.

Her death was made known to the public on 25 April 2022.
