Kelly Pegula is one of the children of Terry and Kim Pegula. Kelly’s dad, Terry Pegula is an American businessman and petroleum engineer. The National Hockey League’s Buffalo Sabres are owned by him through his company, Pegula Sports and Entertainment. His net worth as of July 2021, according to Bloomberg, was above $7 billion.

For $189 million, Tom Golisano, Larry Quinn, and Dan DiPofi sold Hockey Western New York LLC to Pegula in February 2011.
