Matt Reynolds is an American professional baseball infielder for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the New York Mets, Washington Nationals, and Kansas City Royals.

Reynolds received his high school education at Bishop Kelley in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was recruited to play basketball at the collegiate level by Iowa State, Furman, and Butler. He was also a baseball player.

In his first year of professional baseball, he played for the Savannah Sand Gnats of the A-level South Atlantic League. In 42 games, he had a batting average of.259 and hit three home runs.
