Matt Reynolds is an American professional baseball infielder for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the New York Mets, Washington Nationals, and Kansas City Royals.
Reynolds received his high school education at Bishop Kelley in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was recruited to play basketball at the collegiate level by Iowa State, Furman, and Butler. He was also a baseball player.
On the other hand, he came to the conclusion that he wanted to play college baseball for the Arkansas Razorbacks at the University of Arkansas.
Between the years 2010 and 2012, he was the third baseman for Arkansas, where he amassed a career batting line of.275/.382/.413 with 11 home runs and 72 runs batted in 150 contests.

In the second round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft, Reynolds was selected by the New York Mets to join their organization. After Reynolds signed with the Mets, the shortstop position became his primary position.
In his first year of professional baseball, he played for the Savannah Sand Gnats of the A-level South Atlantic League. In 42 games, he had a batting average of.259 and hit three home runs.
