Following the finish of his playing career, Rhule was employed as the linebackers’ coach for Albright College. Following one year at Albright, Rhule had stopped at Buffalo, UCLA, and Western Carolina prior to being employed at Temple as a protective line mentor in 2006. Rhule would change to quarterbacks mentor in 2007 preceding being named Temple’s hostile organizer in 2008.
