Andrew James Whitworth (born December 12, 1981) is an American football tackle for the National Football League’s Los Angeles Rams. He was drafted in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals after playing college football at LSU and earning first-team All-SEC honors twice.

Whitworth was named to three Pro Bowls and one first-team All-Pro during his 11-year career with the Bengals. Whitworth joins the Rams in 2017, adding to his four Pro Bowl appearances and two first-team All-Pro honors.

Whitworth, a native of Monroe, Louisiana, graduated in 2001 from West Monroe High School in West Monroe, Louisiana, where he played high school football for the Rebels under coach Don Shows.



In 1998 and 2000, he was a member of two Louisiana Class 5A State Championship teams that were named National Champions by the National High School Football Tony Poll.

He was also a member of four consecutive district championship teams in one of the state’s hardest districts. CNNSI.com ranked Whitworth as the nation’s sixth-best offensive line prospect.

He was a tennis champion in Louisiana and a great golfer as well. On December 30, 2000, he played in the first-ever US Army All-American Bowl, alongside future LSU players Marcus Spears, Marquise Hill, and Ben Wilkerson.

Emily Whitworth works as a digital content copywriter for clients in the energy, environmental, and small business sectors at PLUS Communications, where she is a director. She worked as a publicist for Flying V Theatre and interned at Linda Roth Associates and Studio Theatre before joining PLUS in October 2017.

Emily is a D.C. native and a graduate of American University.
