William Felton Russell was an American professional basketball player who played as a center for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association from 1956 to 1969.

The former basketball player was born on February 12, 1934 in  West Monroe, Louisiana, United States of America and has a very tall height that is known to stand at 2.08m

Russel was born to his parents who are known by the names of Charles Russell, and Katie Russell who gave birth to him along with one other child called  Charlie L. Russell.



He is known to have married on three different occasions;  Marilyn Nault (m. 1996–2009), Dorothy Anstett (m. 1977–1980), and Rose Swisher (m. 1956–1973).

Bill is a father of three children by the names of  Jacob Russell, William Russell Jr. and  Karen Russell.
