Michael Pierce, an American football nose tackle with the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League, was born on November 6, 1992. Prior to transferring to Samford University, he played college football for Tulane University. In 2016, the Ravens signed him as an undrafted free agent.

To the NFL combine, Pierce was not invited. He performed a wide jump inside the Top 15 for DL during his Pro Day, outpacing every DL at the combine in the 10-meter split.

Pierce joined the Baltimore Ravens on May 3, 2016, as an undrafted free agent. All 16 of Pierce’s games as a rookie in 2016 were played, and he finished the year with 35 tackles, two sacks, and one pass defense.

In the 20-0 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on September 10, Pierce recovered a Terrell Suggs-forced fumble that was caused by quarterback Andy Dalton. The Ravens tendered Pierce a second-round restricted free agent tender on March 9, 2019. The Ravens re-signed Pierce on May 1st of this year.

Pierce agreed to a three-year, $27 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings on March 25, 2020. Pierce informed the Vikings on July 28, 2020, that he will opt out of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 epidemic, and was added to the reserve/opt-out list.

As the starting defensive tackle, Pierce came back in 2021. Before sustaining an elbow injury in Week 4, he started the first four games. After missing the following four games, he was put on injured reserve on November 13, 2021. On December 4, 2021, he was made active.

Pierce signed a three-year, $16.5 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens on March 17, 2022, after being released on March 15, 2022.
