Nicolas Pierre Armand Mahut is a French professional tennis player who is a former world No. 1 in doubles. After winning the Orange Bowl and Wimbledon Boys’ Singles as a junior, Mahut became a professional the following year.

In July 2014, he reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 37. At the Queen’s Club Championships in 2007 and the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in the same year, Mahut finished runner-up to Andy Roddick.

Two months later, on July 4, he claimed his first Grand Slam singles championship, defeating world number one Novak Djokovic in the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport, Rhode Island.



In the first round of the 2010 Wimbledon Championships, Mahut and John Isner played the longest match in professional tennis history. Tennis records and accolades for the match include the most points earned in a single match (502) and the most games won by a losing player (13). (91).
