American actress, director, and producer Penny Marshall, real name Carole Penny Marshall, was well-known. She garnered three nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy for her depiction of Laverne DeFazio on the television sitcom Laverne & Shirley, for which she was best known.

In the United States of America, Penny was born on October 15, 1943 in The Bronx, New York. At the age of 75, she passed away on December 17, 2018 in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California.
