A professional golfer by the aliases Phil Mickelson and Lefty, Philip Alfred Mickelson was born in San Diego, California, in the United States of America. He competes on behalf of LIV Golf and has 45 PGA Tour victories, including six major titles.

He participated in golf while attending Arizona State University in Tempe on a golf scholarship, and he eventually became the spokesperson for amateur golf across the country. He and Ben Crenshaw tie for the most NCAA titles won by an individual with three each.

He is one of only 17 golfers in the sport’s history to have triumphed in three or more of the four majors. With the exception of the U.S. Open, where he has a record-tying six runner-up finishes, he has won every major competition. Mickelson is the only golfer to have triumphed in all four major tournaments. He renounced his 30-year PGA Tour membership in 2022 to join the LIV Golf tour, which is sponsored by Saudi Arabia.
