R. Kelly Siblings: Meet Bruce Kelly, Theresa Kelly and Carey Kelly

American singer R. Kelly was born alongside three siblings named Bruce Kelly, Theresa Kelly, and Carey Kelly.

The alleged sexual assault he underwent at the hands of his older sister Theresa is something he’s talked extensively about during his tumultuous childhood.

Carey Kelly, 49, is a hip-hop artist and lyricist. One of his most recent tracks, “I Confess,” was a diss tune intended at his brother, R. Kelly, under the name “Carey Killa.”

With the release of the diss, Carey produced an accompanying video in which he brought his brother to task for not attending their grandmother’s funeral and for causing him to lose interest in the music industry for the rest of his lifetime.

On Good Morning America and Surviving R. Kelly, Carey discussed the fate of his brother, who died of cancer at the age of 57. Carey Kelly spoke out about the abuse he and R. Kelly suffered when Theresa babysat on Unwine with Tasha K.

A 57-year-old Theresa Kelly has disputed the claims made by both men. After he grew up, Carey stated he sought to reconcile with Theresa, but she refused.

Bruce Kelly, 53, spoke on Surviving R. Kelly to defend his brother’s proclivity for underage women. The Illinois Department of Labor looked into Bruce Kelly’s claims that his brother never paid him his pay in July 2015.

Bruce was R. Kelly’s personal assistant and driver, and he told TMZ he was owed $700 for the labor he was doing for the singer. In addition, Bruce claimed that his brother owed him $11,000 in compensation for previous work.

When Bruce criticized his brother on Facebook, he remarked that his mother, Joanna, would not be proud of his conduct.

When it comes to his brother’s criminal accusations, Carey has been open and honest about how he feels the charges stem from the abuse they both experienced as youngsters.
