Roger Earl Mosley was an American actor, director, and writer. He was best known for his role as the helicopter pilot Theodore “T.C.” Calvin in the CBS television series Magnum, P.I., which originally aired from 1980 until 1988.

Mosley passed away on August 7, 2022. His full name is Roger Earl Mosley. Eloise Harris gave birth to Mosley in Los Angeles, California, in the United States.

He had no relationship with his father. Mosley spent his childhood years in the Watts district, namely in the Imperial Courts public housing complex.



Mosley was a student at Jordan High School throughout his time as a high school student. In the biographical film about the artist Leadbelly that was released in 1976 and directed by Gordon Parks, Mosley portrayed the titular character.

Terminal Island featured him in the role of Monk (1973). Tom Selleck, Phyllis Davis, Don Marshall, and Ena Hartman were some of the other performers that appeared in the feature film.

In the Magnum, P.I. reboot episode “A Kiss Before Dying,” Mosley played the role of Booky, T.C.’s barber. Mosley stepped out of retirement for this appearance.

Among his other film credits are McQ (1974), in which he co-starred alongside John Wayne, and The Greatest (1977).
