Ryan Scott Thompson is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball. Thompson is a submarine-style pitcher.

Ryan Thompson was born on June 26, 1992, and he will turn 30 this year. Thompson had his high school education at Cascade High School in Turner, Oregon, and played college baseball at Chemeketa Community College and Campbell University.

He is also said to have played collegiate summer baseball for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
