Sergey Brin is an American business magnate, computer scientist, and Internet entrepreneur. He co-founded Google with Larry Page.



Mikhail and Eugenia Brin, both Moscow State University graduates, were the parents of Brin, who was born in Moscow on August 21, 1973. (MSU).

A retired mathematics professor at the University of Maryland and a NASA researcher at Goddard Space Flight Center are his parents.

As well to Sergey’s maternal grandmother, the Brin family shared a three-room apartment in central Moscow. Mikhail Brin made the announcement in 1977 when his father returned from a mathematics conference in Warsaw, Poland.

His father was sacked “promptly” after they requested a departure visa in September 1978. As a result, his mother had to quit her job as well.

For the next eight months, they were compelled to take up temporary work as they waited, terrified that their request would be denied as it was for many refuseniks, as it had been for countless others. They were finally allowed to depart the country in May 1979, when they received their formal exit visas.

She is a co-founder of the Breakthrough Prize and a member of its board of directors. It was in 2007 that Wojcicki tied the knot with Google co-founder Sergey Brin, a union that ended in divorce in 2011.
