The game became an instant classic. Buechele threw for 280 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Against West Virginia in Week 10, Buechele passed Colt McCoy for the most throwing yards by a freshman. Buechele has 2,958 passing yards, 21 passing touchdowns, and 11 interceptions as a freshman.
