Sophie Von Haselberg is an American actress, best known for co-starring in the Woody Allen film Irrational Man.

Von Haselberg was born in November 1986, and her parents brought her up in the Upper East Side neighborhood of New York City.

According to The New York Times, the Haselberg family had a 7,000-square-foot triplex penthouse on 5th Avenue that was situated in close proximity to Von Haselberg’s school.



Following his graduation from high school, von Haselberg enrolled at Yale University. She made the decision early on to choose a course that was distinct from that of her parents. Her academic background includes “a focus in East Asian Studies” in the field of sociology.

After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she went back to her home country of China. While she was employed at an advertising business, she had the opportunity to improve her Mandarin skills.
