One of the British journalists and television hosts is Stephanie Rose McGovern. Presently, she is the host of Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch. She was the main presenter for BBC Breakfast and frequently shared hosting duties for the full show.

Despite growing up in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, McGovern was born in North Shields, Tyne & Wear, in 1982. She received an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship for her ability to lead the engineering sector in the future in 1998, at the beginning of her sixth form studies.

In 2005, she graduated from University College London with a BSc in Science Communication and Policy from the Department of Science and Technology Studies. 2013 saw Teesside University confer on her an honorary doctorate.

McGovern began his stint at the BBC by gaining experience on the Tomorrow’s World program before earning a part-time position as a current affairs researcher. Before leading the production of business news for the BBC’s One, Six, and Ten O’Clock news bulletins alongside the station’s then-business editor, Robert Peston, she was the primary producer of daily financial news for Radio 4’s Today program.

In addition to hosting BBC Radio 5 Live’s Wake Up to Money and On the Money, McGovern served as BBC Breakfast’s primary business host beginning in 2010 and was a frequent presenter of the full program.
