British television host and journalist Stephanie Rose McGovern is the present host of Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch. She was employed by the BBC as the primary business presenter for BBC Breakfast, frequently serving as co-host.

McGovern was raised in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, although being born in North Shields, Tyne and Wear, in 1982. Eamonn Mcgovern, a working artist, is her father. She received an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship in 1998, at the beginning of her sixth-form studies, in recognition of her potential to become a future leader in the engineering sector.

She studied at University College London, where the Department of Science and Technology Studies awarded her a BSc in Science Communication and Policy in 2005. She received an honorary doctorate from Teesside University in 2013.

McGovern first gained experience at the BBC working on the Tomorrow’s World show before landing a part-time position as a current affairs researcher. Working with the then-business editor, Robert Peston, she rose to become the lead producer for daily financial news on Radio 4’s Today program before moving on to lead produce business news for the BBC’s One, Six, and Ten O’Clock news bulletins.

Beginning in 2010, McGovern served as the primary business presenter for BBC Breakfast and was a frequent presenter of the full program. He has also presented BBC Radio 5 Live’s Wake Up to Money and On the Money.

Who is Steph Mcgovern’s Partner?

Steph has not yet revealed the identity of her partner but we do know she is married to her partner who happens to be a female TV executive at the BBC.
