Taylor Clarke, the full name Taylor James Clarke is an American professional baseball pitcher with a height of 1.93m who plays for the Kansas City Royals of the Major League Baseball(MLB). Clarke was born May 13, 1993, in Ashburn, Virginia, United States.

Clarke had his amateur career at the Broad Run High School in Ashburn, Virginia. In high school, he played baseball, basketball and golf. After high school, he went to Towson University where he had his college career.

In January 2013, Clarke had a serious injury where he tore the ulnar collateral ligament of his pitching elbow and had to undergo a Tommy John surgery. In March 2013, he got a transfer to the College of Charlestown in South Carolina where he continued playing baseball till he graduated.



During the 2015 MLB draft,  the Arizona Diamondbacks team selected him in the third round of the draft and also signed him into the team. He also spent his professional season with the Hillsboro Hops of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League.

In 2017, he split the season and played for both the Jackson Generals and the Reno Aces. When the 2018 baseball season was done, the Diamondbacks added Clarke to their 40-man roster. He made his MLB debut in April 2019 for the Diamondbacks.

He was with the Diamondbacks till the 2021 baseball season when he was non-tendered by the team which made him a free agent. The Kansas City Royals picked Clarke in December 2021 and signed a major league contract with him.
